Overnight oats are a simple, no-cook recipe that can be prepped the night before to save you time in the morning. They’re made by soaking fiber-rich rolled oats in liquid — usually your choice of milks — with chia seeds, which become gelatinous in liquid and help thicken the mixture. The oats soften and plump overnight but still retain their shape and some chewiness compared with the cooked variety, which can turn gummy.
Here, we’ve sweetened the oats with a touch of maple syrup and added fresh berries for a pop of color plus immune-boosting antioxidants. This recipe also contains ground flaxseed and chopped walnuts for additional texture and a bit of healthy, satiating fat. One serving of overnight oats contains 0.75 mL of our unflavored CBD oil for approximately 18.5 mg of CBD to start your day!
As with all recipes containing CBD, we suggest experimenting with the quantity of CBD oil you add to match your recommended daily dose. If you’re just starting out with CBD oil and taking 0.5 mL of CBD oil per day, simply cut back on the amount of CBD oil you add to this recipe.
