The natural sweetness of banana and blueberries in this recipe helps mask any trace of CBD’s earthy flavor. And since some compounds in CBD are heat-sensitive, smoothies are a great no-cook way to combine food with your daily dose of CBD oil.
This smoothie is simple to make, with only six ingredients. We snuck in a cup of leafy greens to help you meet your daily intake of vegetables, but you won’t even know they’re there. This recipe is for one smoothie, but can easily be doubled to serve two. Each smoothie contains 25mg of CBD in 1 mL of CBD oil.
As with all recipes containing CBD, we suggest experimenting with the quantity of CBD oil you add to match your recommended daily dose. If you’re already taking CBD oil on its own, simply cut back on the amount of CBD oil you add to this recipe — or skip your regular daily dose. We balance premium, full-spectrum, Zebra CBD oil with just enough distillate to impart a pleasant flavor, unlike other brands which when increasing the amount may alter the end flavor with an earthy grass flavor.
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
¾ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
½ medium frozen banana
1 cup leafy greens, such as spinach, kale, or spring mix
1 tbsp ground flax seed
