The company you do business with should be eager to tell you where and how the hemp plant used in your batch was grown. They should provide third-party lab test results indicating you are getting the amount of CBD and other ingredients listed on the supplement facts label. THC levels of should be less than 0.3% since CBD products made from hemp plants with more than this amount are not legal in most states. They should also state that the product is free of contaminants and harmful substances.
Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which means it absorbs toxins and other contaminants from the soil, air and water. That’s why we source exclusively from industrial hemp farms that meet our strict standards.
Both source farms for our CBD Roll-On Relief use organic practices to grow hemp under ideal weather conditions, which results in a premium plant. In Oregon, the hemp crop is grown along the Pacific Coast, where it thrives in the perfect amount of sunlight and humidity. Our Kentucky source plants grow in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, where the steep, forested hills protect the valleys from wind-blown pollen originating from neighboring industrial hemp farms.
Similar to the way essential oils are extracted, CBD is removed from the aerial parts (flowers) of the cannabis plant.
We use two of the top extraction methods to produce our CBD products: ethanol extraction and supercritical CO2 extraction.
Both ethanol and supercritical CO2 extraction separate cannabis oil into its individual components and make it possible to extract more of a specific cannabinoid. The resulting CBD oil can be used in various products.
